The purpose of the Trust is to raise funds to work with the Catholic Cemeteries Commission to restore and preserve the Cemetery by undertaking the following initiatives:

• Repair and restore all gravestones to an upright and stable position;
• Terrace and landscape the hilled section at the back of the Cemetery to correct tilting and toppling gravestones;
• Landscape and make ground repairs;
• Increase security with improved fencing  and lighting;
• Repair the main gate and upgrade signage;
• Make exterior repairs to the Chapel;
• Complete the electronic cataloguing of all those buried at Holy Cross Cemetery and establish a visitor information facility where information would be available for genealogical and historical research.
